Ikusi has deployed a solution to improve and optimize airport processes to ensure quality in concession management and operation at the Santiago de Chile Airport. This was a project commissioned by NUEVO PUDAHUEL, a group composed of the ADP Group, VINCI Airports and Astaldi Concessioni, the airport concession holder since April 2015.
Ikusi implemented a software tool to check service levels (SL-SIC) that makes it possible to audit, coordinate, record and obtain real-time information on all the systems and processes associated to the operative functioning of the airport, as well as verify the conditions for rendering and operating the services.
By integrating the data from existing systems, this solution monitors KPIs (quality indicators) and compares them with the standards or targets defined in the concession contract, such as waiting times, temperatures, luggage arrival times, terminal occupancy, etc.
Ikusi has been the company selected by AICM-Mexico City International Airport to allocate, administer and monitor the slots (takeoff and landing time slots) through its Condor solution, which optimises slot allocation in line with the worldwide standards laid down by the International Association of Air Transport (IATA).
The solution proposed by Ikusi is capable of ensuring an orderly management of airport slots in such a way that the airport’s operating capacity will be maximised. It is a top-level solution that assists specialised airport coordinators not only in their work to plan the season, but also in the daily management associated with the requests of airlines and unforeseen changes that inevitably arise during everyday operations.
Rio de Janeiro International Airport, integrated by Odebrecht, Changi Airports International and Infraero, trusted Ikusi the optimization of airport slots planning in line with international standards (IATA’s Worldwide Slot Guidelines) and adapting them to local conditions.
The solution deployed enables the Operations and Planning Department to schedule its operations in line with its capacity, while seeking to use its resources to a maximum, reduce peaks and incentivize the airlines to comply strictly with the allotted slots
Corporación Quiport, the company charged with the integrated management of Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito, needed to align the interests and needs of passengers/buyers, concession holders and the operator proper in order to promote a commercial strategy that would increase non-airport income.
To achieve this objective, Ikusi deployed a solution compiling the commercial data of concession holders, correlating them with the operational data proper to airports, and analyzing them using business intelligence (BI) techniques. This way, airports are offered the depth of analysis they require to focus their efforts on increasing non-airport Income, a rising tendency in airport management the world over.
Lisbon Airport had multiple non-integrated security systems to cover different airports zones, so the airport was lacking response capability and vision. This situation accelerated the need to acquire a state-of-the-art tool to have a global view through a single intuitive, graphic interface.
Vinci Airports, the concession holder company for Portuguese airports, including that of Lisbon, has hired Ikusi this security project, in order to provide a global view of the airport via a single intuitive, graphic interface, and thanks to floor plan navigation, makes it possible to interact with all the devices in the integrated sub-systems and trigger actions in various security systems.
The need to implement a system at each airport in the group is determined by the growth in operations, the need to establish greater control over them, the increase in the degree of passenger security and the devoting of greater attention to him/her. A system that needed to have the following features: be compatible with the existing infrastructure, offer flexibility when it comes to integrating current and future technologies (IP), implement technologies with an integration capability, and integrate clean energies into the implementation of the video surveillance sub-systems.
Ikusi opted to deploy a hybrid video surveillance system at each of the airports in the group and which is geared towards multiple critical points like vehicle and pedestrian access, baggage inspection points, etc.
The solution proposed is compatible with the solution deployed at the main airport in the group, so if the client so wishes, control could be set up from a single point, the necessary bandwidth being available for the above-mentioned operations.
